HISTORY OF LINACO

 
 

The company commenced operations from a relatively small rented premises in SS2, a satellite township in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Under the leadership and guidance of our founder, Mr Richard Ling, LINACO has several achievements under its belt. These milestones mark the steady progress in the company’s continuous journey towards excellence.

  • 2014

    In July 2014, COWA Coconut Water was launched in Malaysia. Ready-To-Drink (RTD) COWA Coconut Water is the first and only locally packed natural coconut water in hygienic TetraPak Prisma Aspetic packaging.

    2014 also marked a year of accelerated growth with an annual turnover surpassing the RM160 million mark.

  • 2012

    In tandem with the accelerated growth and business expansion, the company moved into their new HQ. Linaco Group HQ now proudly sits on a 4 acre site, located in Bukit Raja Industrial Park, Shah Alam, Selangor.

    The company expanded the production capacity of Batu Pahat factory in commissioning 3 brand new production lines to pack coconut water in Tetra Pak.

    This milestone marks Linaco Group as the first company in Malaysia to produce and pack coconut water in modern hygienic octahedron shaped Tetra Pak.

    Simultaneously, this milestone also marks Linaco Group as the first company in the country to achieve the target of ZERO WASTAGE in the coconut industry.

    After 17 years, the iconic Rasaku product logo receives a new and refreshing look


  • 2009

    The clinking of champagne glasses echoed throughout the evening as company celebrated its first RM50 million annual turnover


  • 2008

    The first cans of canned coconut milk rolled out from Batu Pahat factory.


  • 2004

    For the first time in its history, the factory in Batu Pahat, Johor started production of coconut milk in Tetra Pak.


  • 2002

    It was a proud moment for the company when Claypot brand Emperor Chicken Mix received recognition from the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MITI) and was awarded the Special Award for Product Excellence.


  • 1998

    To facilitate the management of the growth of both Rasaku and Claypot brands, Linaco Group moved into their new premises, located in Klang Utama. Total land area – 1 acre


  • 1997

    The company acquired the Claypot brand of packaged herbal soup pre-mixes


  • 1994

    Rasaku brand of coconut cream powder was officially launched by the honourable Minister of Trade & Industry, YB Dato’ Rafidah Aziz binte


  • 1992

    22 February marked the humble beginnings of Linaco Holdings Sdn Bhd (now known as Linaco Resources Sdn Bhd) when the company’s flagship was launched. The company’s operational headquarters was set up in SS2, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. 17 December saw the commissioning of the factory in Batu Pahat, Johor. Linaco Manufacturing Sdn Bhd specializes in the manufacture of high quality coconut cream powder.
