Job Description

  • Develop a comprehensive Group structure (including regional) financial and accounting management system and manage to ensure Group financial accounting (including budgets), tax, cash flow and financial analysis are effective.
  • Manage timely accurate Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual Reporting such as Group Consolidation, Costing, Treasury and Analysis Reports.
  • Manage related Companies financial management to ensure financial controls, processes and reporting are consistent with Group requirements.
  • Prepare cash flow projections for Management and to facilitate periodic review of bank loans.
  • Manage Banking Relationship to ensure strong bankers support for our future growth requirements and develop their support to our key management team.
  • Active role in Mergers & Acquisitions, Business Reviews and ad hoc projects.
  • Performing analytical support on cost control, capacity utilization, projects analysis and other simulation reviews.
  • Engage and communicate with department heads to ensure financial information and controls implemented will support business decisions. Provide analysis for effective business decisions.
  • Ensure statutory compliance such as audit, taxation and other statutory compliance and working closely with internal and external auditors, tax agents and other statutory bodies.
  • Set up effective and structured tax planning system which includes transfer pricing, intercompany pricing etc.
  • Demonstrate and drive a culture of continuous improvement in finance processes, including robust analytic capabilities, costing system improvements, improving transparency of reporting while seeking opportunities to simplify and standardize across the organization.
  • Plan and work towards automation and digitalization environment besides support and improve ERP system to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and manage a strong credit control system and ensure Receivables are managed to prevent bad debts.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to subordinates to develop their skills in accuracy and knowledge which also include their ability of self-review and have high level of integrity.
  • Proactive communication and report effectively to the Chief Executive Officer
  • Set KPI for subordinates and monitor achievement of department KPI.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by superior from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA/CIMA etc.) or related qualifications.
  • Min 10 years’ working experience in Accounting and Finance with at least 5 years at management position.
  • High degree of integrity, financial discipline and good character.
  • Strong analytical mind with business insights skills in tandem with financial and accounting considerations.
  • Business proficiency in English (oral and written) required and preference will be given to candidate with command of Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Working experience in ERP accounting system.
  • Working experience in manufacturing environment with costing skills.
  • Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge coupled with Group consolidation experience
  • Strong leadership skills, proactive and result oriented besides ability to work within tight deadline with hands on approach.
  • Experience in managing a pool of subordinates and guiding them to be effective finance and accounting team.
  • Working experience in a manufacturing / FMCG environment will be preferred.
  • Able to work independently, have sense of urgency and highly organized.
  • Willingness to travel to ensure objective of Group requirements are met.
