A sharing session from MATRADE regarding development programs, initiatives and accompanying trade facilities, especially for micro, small and medium enterprises, and mid-level companies.

The objective is to enhance the programs that MATRADE has related to MATRADE programs and trading facilities. Notify the latest information related to the process and guidelines of the MATRADE program and share the latest trends in cross-border trade. It is also interest disclosure regarding international market opportunities and potential with MATRADE and increase PMKS involvement in export activities in line with MADANI’s economic aspirations.

Market Development Grant (MDG)

The Market Development Grant (MDG) is structured as a reimbursable grant, established in 2002 with the primary aim of aiding exporters in the promotion of Malaysian products or services on a global scale. The lifetime limit of MDG is RM300,000 and tailored to benefitMalaysian SME Companies, Professional Service Providers, Trade and Industry Associations, Chambers of Commerce, Professional Bodies, and Co-operatives.

Services Export Fund (SEF)

The Service Export Fund (SEF) offers support to Malaysian Service Providers (MSPs) seeking to broaden their presence and operations into the international markets. This assistance is provided in the form of a reimbursable grant, with disbursements tailored to the maximum amount allocated for each activity throughout the period spanning 2021 to 2025.

Mid-Tier Companies Development Programme (MTCDP)

The Mid-Tier Companies Development Programme (MTCDP) was established in 2014 to help local mid-tier companies (MTCs) in Malaysia to accelerate their export growth and to strengthen their core business functions. Annually, only 50 top-performing MTCs are chosen to engage in this nine-month program. In Malaysia, MTCs are classified as enterprises generating annual revenues ranging from RM50 million to RM500 million in the manufacturing domain, and between RM20 million to RM500 million in other sectors.

eTRADE Program

eTRADE Programme is an enhancement of eTRADE Programme which was developed under the RMK-11. The primary objective is to expedite export endeavours through consistent involvement in cross-border eCommerce platforms. This initiative aims to facilitate the onboarding of new companies onto such platforms for export purposes, while also catering to existing enterprises that already active in eCommerce.

Electronic Business Linkage (eBizLink)

The Electronic Business Linkage (“eBizLink”) Programme, a recent initiative by the Government under the ‘Program Strategik Memperkasa Rakyat dan Ekonomi’ (“PEMERKASA”) through MATRADE an agency of MITI, aims to bolster Malaysia’s export promotion digitally. This initiative is fortified by the introduction of a new program under the National Trade Blueprint (NTBp), designed to enhance export promotion and market accessibility. eBizLink capitalizes on hybrid B2C and B2B platforms, emphasizing both online and offline (O2O) promotion, with a particular focus on digital marketing and engagement with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
